2010 Single Vineyard Shiraz / 6 bottles
This was a harvest grapegrowers dream about. Perfectly timed on 15 March, the lead up was mild and dry, so the fully ripened fruit was picked at just 13.8 baume (sugar).
This ideal balance led to a small parcel being selected and carefully barrel aged in new French oak for 20 months, creating a versatile food wine. Full of toasted vanilla and typical Clare pepper notes, it makes an ideal match with hearty meats such as beef and veal. In a good cellar this wine will reward patience until 2020.
